YOU ARE AMAZING!
Before we get into the nitty gritty, I want to take a moment to say THANK YOU to each and every one of you who backed this project. We can’t do any of the things we do without your support and that fact is ALWAYS in the front of my mind as we put the books together. EVERYONE TAKE A BOW!
HOUSEKEEPING
We are making final tweaks to the lettering and heading into final design. If all goes to plan, we’ll be finishing up and finalizing files and sending everything to the printer when Kickstarter releases the funds.
We will post Updates here about once per month to keep everyone updated on progress. But, for the moment, take heart in knowing that everything is on track.
WANT MORE?
Our private Facebook group is where myself and the crew hang out, talk about comics, share a TON of art from all our various projects, and post weekly updates on everything we are working on. COME HANG OUT -

SUGAR BOMB: MILK RUN IS ON DECK!
Our next project is probably the most bonkers of all the stuff we do. It’s the Fun Time Go response to “corporate” comics… and is probably going to get us banned from, well, from everything. Go check it out and GRAB YOUR VIP ACCESS to the campaign if you are so inclined – http://get.funtimego.com
Okay! That’s it. I’m exhausted but got a smile on my face a mile wide. THANK YOU again for joining the Fun Time Go crew on this madcap adventure!
David

Yes. That's a dolphin with a mustache drinking coffee. It's... it's complicated.

GOLDIE CHIBI STICKERS ARE UNLOCKED!
All three Goldie stickers are officially UNLOCKED! Mix and match them with the Mamta sticker set—and keep an eye out because some of you are getting SHINY FOIL VERSIONS! You will be the envy of EVERYONE. (If “everyone” is mostly my mom.)
MISS HENPAI ON CHEESECAKE! 2026
If we hit $39,000 (I can’t believe I’m typing that), we’re adding FOUR NEW PAGES OF PINUPS BY MISS HENPAI to the CHEESECAKE! 2026 Pinup Book! All four feature characters from the world of Miss Mina and the Midnight Guardians—and at least one was chosen by the FTG Private Facebook Group!
SPEAKING OF OUR PRIVATE FACEBOOK GROUP…
We’ve got our own little private clubhouse where the FTG crew and our VIPs hang out and talk about what we’re reading, watching, and listening to. It’s also the FIRST PLACE we post announcements and VIP Wristband Trade-In offers. And once the campaign ends, it’s the best place to follow along!
We try to keep Kickstarter Updates here to about once a month after the campaign, but every Monday we post a WEEKLY WORK JOURNAL in the private group so you can follow the books through production. If you’re not already in there, come join us! Click the link, answer a couple of ridiculously easy nerd questions, and ask to join. Murphey or I will click you in! https://www.facebook.com/groups/funtimego
THE LAST STRETCH GOAL REVEALED!
We only have one more Stretch Goal planned for this campaign?! Awesome. This is a favorite of mine - THE LUCY WESTENRA GOLD DOUBLOON! We've done a Mina and a Goldie doubloon for the first two campaigns and if you backed us before you know how incredible (and heavy! and SHINY!) these are. I hope we get to it!
I THINK THAT'S IT!
As always THANK YOU! Kickstarter is our primary way of getting books out into the world so your support makes all our hard work a reality. YOU ARE APPRECIATED.

ANOTHER GOLDIE CHIBI STICKER DOWN!
Two stickers are now locked in with one more sticker to go! HOORAY!
WHAT’S ON DECK?
Our next Stretch Goal is one I am excited to get to because it means we get to see more work from one of my favorite artists here at the Fun House – MISS HENPAI! That’s right, we are adding FOUR PAGES OF PINUPS by Miss Henpai to the CHEESECAKE! 2026 Pinup book! All of the new pinups feature characters from the world of Miss Mina and the Midnight Guardians! Here’s a sneak peek at one of the pinups we’re going to add if we hit the Stretch Goal!
COMIC GEEK SPEAK
I sat down with the fellas at Comic Geek Speak this week and talked endlessly about the 1995 Marvel Mini-Series, “Fury of S.H.I.E.L.D.” by Howard Chaykin and Corky Lehmkuhl! I also might have accidentally made enemies of everyone living in Baltimore (I’m sorry! I love Baltimore! Really!) Also, I probably gave away some secrets about the Miss Mina series that I shouldn’t have. It was a long show and I was pretty punchy by the end. Click the link to listen in - https://www.comicgeekspeak.com/episodeDetails.html?episodeId=3017
Let’s see… what else?
THE SUGAR BOMB SAN DIEGO COMIC CON 2026 GIVEAWAY
Want a chance to get one of three limited-edition “SUGAR BOMB: Portal Potty San Diego Comic Con Exclusive” comics? GO TO YOUR SOCIALS and POST THIS:
“I backed the new MISS MINA and the MIDNIGHT GUARDIANS campaign and I’m pretty sure it’s going to be your new favorite thing - https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/funtimego/miss-mina-and-the-midnight-guardians-legend-continues?ref=9iz16y #MissMina”
Make sure you add that hashtag in at the end. We’ll find your post and you will be entered for a chance to get your hands on one of these rare books that only a few people at a party put on by some guy named Kevin Smith were able to get prior to this (I wasn't invited)!
THANK YOU! We are officially one week away from the end of the campaign and I can’t tell you enough how much your continued support means to myself and the rest of the Fun Time Go crew. YOU ARE THE BEST!
THAT was FAST!

You are BUSY. I’ll be quick… probably. I’ll definitely not talk to myself in front of you and waste precious reading time with stuff that has nothing to do with the campaign. (You’re doing it NOW, David.) Oh, right. Sorry. Where was I…?
WE ARE FLYING THROUGH THE GOLDIE GRAB STICKER SET!
The first sticker is already unlocked and we are only a few backers away from the second sticker being unlocked! I’m so happy we get to make these for all of you. AWESOME.
As we head into the last week of the campaign, I’ve been working with the team to make sure our last two Stretch Goals are not only highly collectible but MEANINGFUL. I think we’ve come up with a couple of great ideas and I’m anxious to share them with all of you!
Speaking of sharing, I’ve been hitting the livestreams and the podcasts talking up the book! If you have any interest in learning more about the creative process and how the soup is made (Soup? Does anyone use that metaphor in 2026, David?), check out:
KEEPING IT GEEKLY
This was a LIVE recording which made me all kinds of nervous but I still think it turned out entertaining - https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=0HxDcUS3xjU
COMIC GEEK SPEAK
I sent the Comic Geek Speak team a care package of books as a sort of thank you for their recent support and they talked about the books on their latest episode - https://www.comicgeekspeak.com/episodeDetails.html?episodeId=3016
Now it’s your turn…
ANNOUNCING THE SUGAR BOMB SAN DIEGO COMIC CON 2026 GIVEAWAY
I wanted to do this giveaway on “Keeping It Geekly” but Cody had no way of making it happen, so we’re gonna do it here… GO TO YOUR SOCIALS and POST THIS:
“I backed the new MISS MINA and the MIDNIGHT GUARDIANS campaign and I’m pretty sure it’s going to be your new favorite thing - https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/funtimego/miss-mina-and-the-midnight-guardians-legend-continues?ref=9iz16y
#MissMina”
Make sure you add that hashtag in at the end. Everyone who posts will automatically be entered to WIN ONE OF THREE "Sugar Bomb: Portal Potty San Diego Comic Con Exclusives"!
It’s easy, and hardly anyone is probably going to do this, so your chances of scoring one of the three copies is stupidly high. Go on! Go do it!
Is that it? (That’s definitely enough out of you.) Okay. Thanks, everyone!
YOUR SUPPORT IS APPRECIATED!!!
